(대상 29:1-9) [1] 다윗 왕이 온 회중에게 이르되 내 아들 솔로몬이 유일하게 하나님께서 택하신 바 되었으나 아직 어리고 미숙하며 이 공사는 크도다 이 성전은 사람을 위한 것이 아니요 여호와 하나님을 위한 것이라 [2] 내가 이미 내 하나님의 성전을 위하여 힘을 다하여 준비하였나니 곧 기구를 만들 금과 은과 놋과 철과 나무와 또 마노와 가공할 검은 보석과 채석과 다른 모든 보석과 옥돌이 매우 많으며 [3] 성전을 위하여 준비한 이 모든 것 외에도 내 마음이 내 하나님의 성전을 사모하므로 내가 사유한 금, 은으로 내 하나님의 성전을 위하여 드렸노니 [4] 곧 오빌의 금 삼천 달란트와 순은 칠천 달란트라 모든 성전 벽에 입히며 [5] 금, 은 그릇을 만들며 장인의 손으로 하는 모든 일에 쓰게 하였노니 오늘 누가 즐거이 손에 채워 여호와께 드리겠느냐 하는지라 [6] 이에 모든 가문의 지도자들과 이스라엘 모든 지파의 지도자들과 천부장과 백부장과 왕의 사무관이 다 즐거이 드리되 [7] 하나님의 성전 공사를 위하여 금 오천 달란트와 금 만 다릭 은 만 달란트와 놋 만 팔천 달란트와 철 십만 달란트를 드리고 [8] 보석을 가진 모든 사람은 게르손 사람 여히엘의 손에 맡겨 여호와의 성전 곳간에 드렸더라 [9] 백성들은 자원하여 드렸으므로 기뻐하였으니 곧 그들이 성심으로 여호와께 자원하여 드렸으므로 다윗 왕도 심히 기뻐하니라
(NIV11) [1] Then King David said to the whole assembly: “My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced. The task is great, because this palatial structure is not for man but for the Lord God. [2] With all my resources I have provided for the temple of my God - gold for the gold work, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron and wood for the wood, as well as onyx for the settings, turquoise,* stones of various colors, and all kinds of fine stone and marble - all of these in large quantities. / *The meaning of the Hebrew for this word is uncertain. [3] Besides, in my devotion to the temple of my God I now give my personal treasures of gold and silver for the temple of my God, over and above everything I have provided for this holy temple: [4] three thousand talents* of gold (gold of Ophir) and seven thousand talents** of refined silver, for the overlaying of the walls of the buildings, / *That is, about 110 tons or about 100 metric tons / **That is, about 260 tons or about 235 metric tons [5] for the gold work and the silver work, and for all the work to be done by the craftsmen. Now, who is willing to consecrate themselves to the Lord today?” [6] Then the leaders of families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly. [7] They gave toward the work on the temple of God five thousand talents* and ten thousand darics** of gold, ten thousand talents^ of silver, eighteen thousand talents^^ of bronze and a hundred thousand talents^^^ of iron. / *That is, about 190 tons or about 170 metric tons / **That is, about 185 pounds or about 84 kilograms / ^That is, about 380 tons or about 340 metric tons / ^^That is, about 675 tons or about 610 metric tons / ^^^That is, about 3,800 tons or about 3,400 metric tons [8] Anyone who had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the temple of the Lord in the custody of Jehiel the Gershonite. [9] The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.
◈성구 : (대상 29:1) 다윗 왕이 온 회중에게 이르되 내 아들 솔로몬이 유일하게 하나님께서 택하신 바 되었으나 아직 어리고 미숙하며 이 공사는 크도다 이 성전은 사람을 위한 것이 아니요 여호와 하나님을 위한 것이라

◈다윗은 온 회중에게 성전 건축에 대하여 마지막 유언처럼 이야기한다. 솔로몬은 하나님께 선택받았지만 아직 어리고 미숙함을 강조한다. 특히 성전을 말할 때 ‘바이트’ 단어를 사용하지 않고 ‘하비라’를 사용했다. 거대한 궁전을 말할 때 사용하는 단어이다. 성전 공사는 대역사임을 강조한다. 온 땅의 왕이신 하나님을 위한 성전을 짓는다는 것은 우리가 아무리 노력해도 부족할 수밖에 없다. 늘 우리는 하나님 앞에 연약하고 부족한 존재임을 잊지 말아야 한다. 이것을 까먹기 때문에 교만해지고 어리석은 선택을 하게 된다. 나는 하나님의 은혜 없이는 단 하루도 살 수 없는 연약한 존재임을 고백하자.

◈내가 힘을 다하여 준비했고 나의 사유재산을 하나님께 드렸지만 그것으로 부족하다는 것이다. 다윗은 금 102톤, 은 238톤을 하나님께 드렸다. “이제 누가 하나님께 즐거이 드리겠느냐” 묻는다. 이에 지도자들이 즐거이 드렸다. 금 190톤과 은 375톤을 하나님께 드렸다. 특히 다윗 시대 500년 이후의 페르시아 화폐 단위를 사용하여 포로귀환한 백성들이 쉽게 이해하도록 한 흔적을 볼 수 있다. 1다릭은 금화 130g을 의미한다. 지도자는 리더일 뿐만 아니라 본이 되어야 한다. 백성들이 자원하여 드렸는데 완전한 마음으로 드렸다는 뜻이다. 그랬을 때 그곳에 큰 기쁨이 넘쳤다. 내가 가진 것이 내 것이 아님을 알아야 한다. 나는 청지기일 뿐이다. 하나님이 원하시는 일에 기쁨으로 드릴 때 진정한 행복이 넘친다.
